Terms & Conditions for students enrolling at CMIT Institute for IT / Foreign Language or any other Certification Courses .

  1. Acceptance

– By enrolling at CMIT Institute, the student accepts and agrees to abide by these Terms & Conditions and any rules, policies, or amendments issued by the Institute from time to time.

  1. Conduct and Prohibitions

– Smoking, consumption of alcohol in class, and browsing inappropriate sites or social networking content on Institute premises or devices are strictly prohibited.

– Students must maintain proper decorum and behaviour in classrooms, labs and on Institute premises. Misconduct towards staff, instructors, other students or damage to property may lead to disciplinary action, including expulsion.

  1. Use of Institute Resources

– Students must operate computers, peripherals and other Institute resources carefully and only as instructed by supervisors/instructors/centre-in-charge.

– Use of Pen drives / USB / External HDD/ DVD or any other external device without prior permission from the centre-in-charge is prohibited and will attract a penalty fine of Rs.2000/-

  1. Attendance and Leave

– Students must attend classes regularly. If leave exceeding one week is required, a written application for permission must be submitted (on the student I-card or as directed) and sanctioned before proceeding on leave.

– Students who stop attending classes/lectures continuously for one month without approved sanction will be treated as having their admission cancelled.

  1. Fees and Payment

– Course fees must be paid in accordance with the fee schedule agreed at admission. Monthly instalments (where applicable) must be paid on or before the due date.

– In case of late payment, a fine of Rs. 100/- per day will be levied until the outstanding amount is paid.

– Course fees once paid are not refundable except as may be specified in a separate written refund policy issued by the Institute.

  1. Programme Completion and Additional Charges

– Students who progress slowly, are irregular, or take longer than the sanctioned programme duration will be liable to pay additional fees at Rs. 5,000/- per month for the extended period (or such other amount as notified by the Institute).

  1. Certification and Assessments

– Certificates and diplomas will be awarded only upon successful completion of the course requirements and passing the prescribed tests/exams, assignments and projects.

  1. Schedule Changes and Rescheduling

– If scheduled lectures and/or practicals cannot be held for unavoidable reasons, the Institute will reschedule them. The Institute is not liable for loss due to rescheduling beyond its control.

  1. Syllabus, Course Content and Changes

– The management reserves the right to add, alter or delete any part of the syllabus, course content or teaching methodology as it deems fit and proper.

– The management also reserves the right to add, alter or amend these Terms & Conditions and other policies from time to time; such amendments shall be binding on all students with effect from the date of notification.

 

  1. Centre Assignment and Transfers

– Students/candidates may be required to study certain subjects or packages at a different Centre than the one initially selected. Transfer to another Centre will not be a cause for refund of fees unless otherwise notified in writing by the Institute.

  1. Fees Subject to Change

– Course fee structure, prices and any other charges are subject to change without prior notice. The fee applicable will be the fee notified/posted by the Institute at the time of payment.

  1. Legal Jurisdiction and Claims

– All legal disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai only.

– Students’ rights and claims (if any) shall be only against the Centre at which admission was taken. Students acknowledge they have no rights or claims against other Centre, Franchises, franchisors or the Head Office of CMIT except as expressly provided in writing.

  1. Liability and Indemnity

– The Institute shall not be liable for loss, damage or injury to personal property of students while on Institute premises, except where liability is established by law.

– Students are responsible for complying with all Institute rules and must indemnify the Institute for any damage caused by their negligence or deliberate actions.

  1. Important Note

– Slow progress, irregular attendance or extension beyond sanctioned duration will result in additional monthly charges as specified in clause 6.

  1. Contact and Clarification

– For any clarification regarding these Terms & Conditions, fees, leave, or disciplinary policy, students should contact the centre-in-charge or the administration office.

 

Acknowledgement

– Enrollment implies that the student has read, understood and agrees to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
